Captain Andrew J. Rae and Sons Limited

Captain Andrew J. Rae and Sons Ltd . was founded in 1960 as Nautical Instrument Engineers to provide the service of Magnetic Compass Adjusting and repairs throughout Atlantic Canada. In the late 60's they developed Reflector Binnacles in GRP construction with a special twin sight tube model for double-ended ferries.

In the mid 1970's Captain Andrew J. Rae and Sons Ltd. developed an Audio-Visual Correspondence Course to enable Students to prepare for the Transport Canada Examinations for Masters and Mates. Up to the present date they have assisted over 8000 candidates in preparation for Transport Canada Certification. Now most modules of this course have been updated to CD-ROM!

In the mid 1980's StabCalc© Stability Software was developed which was followed by LoadCalc© and then GrainCalc© . A good inventory of Nautical and Marine Engineering Textbooks is maintained.
